Frederick SurnameNote: I research and accept all spellings. I descend from Johann Georg Friederich (1690-1771). He is my 6th Great-grandfather. Johann Georg came to the new world circa 1737. There is currently very little known about him. On his will he referred to himself as a Baker. There is still a lot of research to do regarding Johann Georg Friederich; most of what I currently have is not "proven" by genealogy standards. I have recently received new information on Johann Georg Friederich. A fellow Frederick researcher, Cheri Guirreri, has found a book titled: "Emigrants from Baden and Württemberg". Go to Johann's page for an extract of the finding. This appears to be a connection on Johann's two families and were he was from in Germany. Future plans are to have FREDERICK GENEALOGY that may be shared with descendants and researchers.
One of my goals is to write a book about the Frederick Family. In order to publish a book, that is both informative and enjoyable to read, I need your help. I am looking for family stories, pictures and any documents on the family. Any contributions that you would like to share will, within reason, be incorporated, and an acknowledgement of the source will be given. If you loan me documents, they will be handled carefully, professionally duplicated, and returned. Anything that you donate will be properly handled and preserved. Not only will they help with the book, but they will be shared with others via these web pages. Along these same lines, I need proof of ancestry/descendancy. These documents should be the same as required as proof for any genealogical society. Such as birth/death certificates, marriage certificates, bible records, social security records, court records, to name a few. I use Family Tree Maker 2005 genealogy software to document my research. This program allows me to import GEDCOM formats. I am not able to read disks that have been formatted on an Apple Computer, though. If you wish to submit family information to me on disk, I will return the disk, if you so request. Also, you may attach your file to email, if you are familiar with the technique. Thanks! You may view my Family Tree Maker HomePage by selecting here. You may also view my FREDERICK FAMILY TREE GEDCOM File at the RootsWeb WorldConnect Project. You may also email me images and/or scanned text to fredgen@frederickgenealogy.org. This book project may take some time (Years), but in the mean time I will most likely publish a family genealogy. I will be including all collateral families along with my own branch. The genealogy and the book will be available to contributors and family members at a reduced price.
